Our Company
Jetstar Asia Airways’ inaugural flight took off for Hong Kong on 13th December, 2004, after obtaining it’s Air Operator’s Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore on 19th September 2004.
Qantas and Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited jointly own more than 80% of Jetstar Asia.
Jetstar Asia Airways merged with Valuair on 25th July 2005. Both airlines operate out of Singapore and fly to most major cities in South-east Asia.
In the prestigious Skytrax Airline of the Year survey for 2006, Jetstar Asia was awarded the Best Low-cost Airline for both the Asia and South-east Asia categories. In 2007, we came in first as the World's Best Low-Cost Airlines by SkyTrax. In a short span of a few years since it’s birth, Jetstar Asia has been bagging awards, including TTG Travel’s Best Asian Low-Cost Carrier awards for both 2006 and 2007.
Jetstar Airways is our sister company, based out of Melbourne Australia and is wholly owned by Qantas.
We take pride in keeping costs to a minimum so you can travel more often. This, coupled with a brand-new fleet, great destinations and friendly crew creates a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience, affordable to all.
